2023: With the Hamilton Tiger-Cats, Thurman registered career highs in defensive tackles (98), defensive plays (113) and sacks (five) while adding two interceptions, one tackle for a loss, four pass knockdowns, two forced fumbles and one fumble recovery. During the East Division semi-final against the Montreal Alouettes, Thurman recorded six defensive tackles, one special teams tackle, one sack and one pass knockdown.

PRO: Thurman attended rookie camp with the NFL’s San Francisco 49ers in 2017. He then spent four CFL seasons (2017, 2018, 2021 and 2022) with the Calgary Stampeders. He played in 64 games as a Stampeder, recording 267 defensive tackles, 31 special teams tackles, six sacks, six interceptions and eight forced fumbles. He won a Grey Cup with the Stampeders in 2018. Thurman signed with the NFL’s Chicago Bears in January 2019 and made 16 tackles in the pre-season, but was released prior to the start of the regular season. He then joined the XFL’s DC Defenders and recorded 28 defensive tackles, a forced fumble and an interception (which he returned for a touchdown) in five games.

COLLEGE: Thurman spent four seasons (2013-16) at Indiana State. Over 48 games, he recorded  340 tackles (28 for a loss), seven sacks, five interceptions, 14 pass deflections, seven forced fumbles and five fumble recoveries.
