2023: In 11 games as a CFL rookie, Sterns caught 44 passes for 449 yards and one touchdown. His first TD in pro football was an 18-yarder on Aug. 20 against the visiting B.C. Lions. In his CFL debut, he caught seven passes for 71 yards against the Ottawa REDBLACKS on Aug. 6 at Mosaic Stadium. Sterns also made seven catches on Sept. 29, when he recorded 102 yards in B.C.

 

PRO: Sterns signed with the NFL’s Tampa Bay Buccaneers as an undrafted free agent on May 13, 2022. He remained with Tampa Bay through the 2022 pre-season. He signed a reserve-future contract with the Los Angeles Rams on Jan. 9, 2023 and was released two months later.

 

COLLEGE: Sterns spent his first three collegiate seasons (2018-20) at Houston Baptist University. In 27 games, he caught 220 passes for 1,971 yards and 18 touchdowns. In 2019, he caught 105 passes for 833 yards and nine TDs at Houston Baptist. In 2021, he transferred to Western Kentucky and played in 14 games. He led the NCAA in catches (150) and receiving yards (1,902) in 2021 and was tied for the lead nationally in TD catches (17). He earned First-Team Conference USA honours and was a Second-Team All-American.
