2023: After being selected by the Roughriders in the third round (21st overall) of the 2023 CFL Draft, Dean played in three regular-season games and recorded one special teams tackle. The special teams stop was made in his CFL debut, June 24 against the host Calgary Stampeders.
COLLEGE: Over four seasons and 31 games at York University, Dean logged 115 defensive tackles (12.5 for a loss), six sacks, two interceptions, seven pass knockdowns, one forced fumble, three fumble recoveries and one blocked field goal. Dean was named to the OUA’s All-Rookie Team in 2018 and was an OUA All-Star and his team’s MVP in 2022.
FAST FACT: Dean was named his team’s Offensive MVP in Grade 12 at Monsignor Paul Dwyer Catholic High School in Oshawa, Ont.
